Hey guys! Lots of people have been asking me lately what the benefits of jalapeños are, because we juice it into one of our fresh herb 🌿 infused green juices. Jalapeños are nothing to be afraid of, they’re actually quite amazing. First of all, they have capsaicin which has the ability to raise your body temperature and therefore help boost metabolism, so if you’re seeking weight loss, jalapeños are a great thing to add to juices and meals! I also find that it suppresses my appetite a bit!
Jalapeños have antibacterial and anti-microbial abilities which can help fight infections and stop bad bacteria growth. They’re also loaded with vitamin C, the antioxidants that can help fight free radicals, and of course give your immune system a great boost and calm the effects of a cold or flu. I recently heard that a jalapeño may have more vitamin C than an orange! The capsaicin in jalapeños have also been known to eliminate migraines, improve eyesight (vitamin A), decrease the risk of heart attacks, and inhibit the growth of some cancerous tumors.
I absolutely love what jalapeños do to the vibe of our sprouted herbal green juice. It’s not really a “spice-forward” effect… it kind of hits in the back of the throat more, so it’s easier to tolerate if you’re not a fan of hot peppers, and if you are a fan, it’s divine! Mixed with loads of fresh sprouts and herbs… OMG, to live for!!! …and the benefits make it even better! 🌱
