Spicy Turmeric Ginger Lemon Healing Elixir
This spicy, tangy, sweet healing elixir is absolutely “to live for!” The healing and cleansing benefits of turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne and lemon are incredible each on their own, so you can imagine what they are like synergistically working together in one simple creation! This recipe makes 3 quart size mason jars…
– 3 organic lemons (or 3/4 cup lemon juice
– 1/4 cup ginger juice (or substitute 1 tbs ginger powder)
– 2 inch piece of turmeric root (or substitute 1 tsp turmeric powder)
– 1 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
– 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper
– 3 droppers of organic stevia or 1/4 tsp stevia powder of choice
– purified water (preferable spring water)
If you have a juicer:
Juice your ginger root and add 1/4 cup ginger juice, add turmeric root juice and 3/4 cup lemon juice. Pour into blender and add cayenne, cinnamon and stevia. Fill the rest of the blender full of water almost to the top and blend on low speed. Pour into 3 quart size mason jars evenly and top the rest of with water….. adjust sweetness and spiciness level to taste!
If you don’t have a juicer, use your blender:
Blend your ginger and turmeric root with 2 quarts of water and strain. Rinse out the blender and pour turmeric, ginger and water back into blender. Add the juice 3/4 cup lemon juice along with cayenne, cinnamon and stevia. Blend on low speed. Pour evenly into 3 quart size mason jars, top off with water, and adjust to taste! If it’s too spicy for you, just add more water! If it’s not sweet enough, add more stevia!
